CALET Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (CGBM)

The CALET Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (CGBM) [Yamaoka2013] is the secondary scientific instrument of the CALET mission [Torii2015] on the International Space Station (ISS), which was launched on August 19, 2015.

The CGBM started its scientific operation on October 5, 2015.

The CGBM consists of three gamma-ray scintillation detectors, which cover a wide energy range from ~4 keV to ~28 MeV, and Advanced Star Camera (ASC) sensitive in the optical band up to ~9 mag (0.5 sec exposure).
